The PAVE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students preparing for careers connected to the design, engineering, and development of the built environment.
PAVE works to help strengthen the future talent pipeline by reducing financial barriers for students pursuing education and careers across the industry. Through scholarships, grants, competitions, awards, and professional development opportunities, PAVE connects students with resources and opportunities that support their continued education and career development.
The Henderson Companies Engineering Scholarship supports full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing engineering and related fields connected to building systems, construction management, commissioning, and the built environment. One recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship, plus airfare, hotel accommodations, and a daily per diem to attend the 2026 PAVE Gala in New York City on December 10, 2026, where they will be recognized.
Priority consideration will be given to students from groups historically underrepresented in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
GUIDELINES
- Student must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university located within the United States.
- Student must be pursuing a degree in engineering or a related program aligned with building systems, construction management, commissioning, or similar fields.
- There is no minimum GPA requirement.
- Priority consideration will be given to students from groups historically underrepresented in the AEC industry.
REQUIREMENTS
The following items must be included in your application for your submission to be considered.
- Essay (Maximum 500 Words): Why do you wish to pursue the degree program you’ve chosen? What do you hope to do with your education? How will this scholarship help you achieve your goals?
- One Letter of Reference: Upload one letter of reference from a professor, faculty member, employer, internship supervisor, or other professional reference.
- Previous Henderson Companies Scholarship Disclosure: Indicate whether you have previously received an award from any Henderson Companies scholarship fund.
- Current Transcript: Include a complete copy of your current transcript, official or unofficial.
- Applications and supporting documents must be submitted through Submittable.
- All applications must be received by October 30, 2026, before 11:59 PM ET/8:59 PM PT to be considered.
